one of our meetings

Refreshments and Door Prizes are back! Judy T. has a sign-up sheet if you want to bring something to munch at break time.If you’d like to bring a door prize, please, no more than $5.00 in value, thank you.
‘Habitat for Humanity’ samplers are due in October.

Bring something to stitch if you are not participating in the program project. * Did you know we have a tablecloth that Claudia of ‘Dutchtreat Needlecrafts’ donated pattern and materials for us to make, and use as a fundraiser? Well, we’ve had it for two years and not much progress has been made.
So, here’s the plan. When you come to a meeting and you aren’t participating in the program and haven’t an item to stitch on, then stitch on the tablecloth. It is eighteen count Ann Cloth, over two threads of grapes, leaves, vines and beehives. It is very simple to do. When we have finished it, we can take it to one of the booths we sit in at a fair or some such and sell tickets for it as a fundraiser for the chapter.

The following items are available for purchase at every meeting: Check the table next to membership when you come in. All prices include CA state sales tax.

Vintage Stitchers Chapter Pin $6
Wood Needle-cases/grapes $6
You may inquire to see if there are any extra program kits left. The cost would be
the same as when the program was offered. If you want it sent to you, add the cost of shipping.

This chapter will be handing out gold needles to those members who have completed stitching and 'finishing' a program project. FINISHED means that you have either framed or made something out of the stitched project. There will be one needle per meeting per member that brings in a 'finished' project, from a chapter program, starting with the January 2002 meeting. There will be a special award for the person who has 4 or more "finished" past programs by the end of this year.

Guests may attend two meetings. Further attendance requires membership.

NAMETAGS!

This is for our newest members (and those not so new).
In case you were wondering when you needed to start wearing your hand-stitched, possibly own design, nametag, here is your answer.
In the handbook (somewhere) it states that you have three months after becoming a member to start wearing your nametag. Otherwise you have to pay a fine of . . . well currently that’s $1.00.

Bring a friend! Snacks are permitted.

If you wish to view the By-laws, they will be available at the general meeting.
